"Depression is being colorblind and constantly being told being told how colorful the world is" This is a quote from Atticus poetry. When people think of the depression the word melancholy comes to mind which means sadness ,but in actual fact depression is not being sad. depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. This mental illness causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. Not many people understand depression so picture you being in a room full of people and you are screaming for help but no one seems to notice or care, That is how people with depression feel on a daily. In some communities the topic is ill-informed not many people talk about it which is sad because, it is a serious matter and needs to be brought to the surface in all communities. People who suffer from clinical depression are a slaves of the mind that is where all the darkness of depression starts from which we call overthinking.

People mistaken being sad for depression, there is a major difference between being sad and being depressed everyone experiences sadness or unhappiness in their lives. Clinical depression is however way different and more intense and long lasting feeling and it can interfere with the persons ability to engage in daily activities.

Clinical depressed is real and we as a society should talk about such sensitive topics more or get more education on it because we probably have some loved one suffering in silence.
